Architect-Designed Furniture Collection
A collection of Architect-Designed furniture was started at the Library in 1997. Many museums have furniture collections, but they are limited to viewing only. The library collection is for the educational purposes of studying ideas, aesthetics, design, materials, production, ergonomics, etc. They are placed in various areas in the library to view, sit on, and experience. They can be used as resources for the furniture design class or any other architecture class. Online photographs of the collection are coming soon.
Exhibitions in the Library
The Library participates in the College of Design’s Exhibition/Lecture Program. Occasionally, the library has exhibitions of art works by College of Design alumni and faculty.
